Transfer latest: Spurs bid for Rashford; Arsenal eye more Jesus talks
To kick off today’s latest transfer round-up, Tottenham Hotspur have seen an approach for Marcus Rashford rejected by Manchester United. The ‘unbelievable‘ striker wants to fight for his place at Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag coming in as the club’s new manager (The Times).
Arsenal have scheduled a new round of talks in their bid to sign Gabriel Jesus. The Gunners believe they are in pole position for the £50 million-rated Manchester City star. Spurs and Real Madrid are also in the race this summer (Telegraph).
Benfica could sell Liverpool target Darwin Nunez for an initial £68 million. Sources in Portugal have suggested that the Portuguese side want £85 million for the striker. But they will accept a significant amount in add-ons (The Times).
West Ham have reignited their interest in signing Leeds United star Raphinha. The Hammers offered £50 million for the Brazilian in the final stages of the January transfer window. Leeds want £60 million for their top goalscorer after Jesse Marsch’s men kept themselves in the Premier League (90min).
Transfer latest: Akanji offered to Arsenal, and City plan Phillips pursuit
Manchester City plan to make contact with Leeds over Kalvin Phillips after the current international break. The Premier League champions are no longer pursuing Declan Rice and Frenkie de Jong, with Phillips their top target for the central midfield role (ESPN).
Rangers are looking to sign a West Ham player this summer. The Gers want youngster Emmanuel Longelo. He is apparently leaving the London Stadium after just one appearance for the Irons (The Sun).
Manuel Akanji has been offered to Arsenal, with the Borussia Dortmund defender being told he can leave this summer. And his representatives are working on a potential Premier League move. His asking price is £21 million, but it could drop further (The Sun).
Finally, Alessandro Bastoni has seemingly confirmed that he wants to stay at Inter Milan amid interest from Tottenham. The defender responded positively on Instagram following comments about his future from his agent.
