Transfer latest: Chelsea close in on Raphinha; Spurs make £100m bid
To kick off our latest transfer round-up, Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Raphinha. The Blues are ready to pay more than £55 million to sign the Leeds United star, moving them ahead of Arsenal in the race, according to The Athletic.
Leeds will open talks with Cody Gakpo in the coming days in the hope of convincing the Dutchman to move to Elland Road from PSV Eindhoven. The Whites will have to be prepared to pay more than £34.5 million to sign the forward, ED reports.
Tottenham Hotspur have made a £100 million bid for Richarlison and Anthony Gordon. Spurs hope to pay £80 million up front for the Everton pair, with a further £20 million coming in add-ons, The Sun claims.
However, the Toffees have no intention of selling Anthony Gordon. And the 21-year-old is happy to stay at Goodison Park and is comfortable with the club rejecting all offers that arrive for him this summer, I News reports.
Transfer latest: Spurs eye Ake and want Lenglet answer, but Emerson Royal moves closer to exit
Tottenham also have their eye on Manchester City star Nathan Ake. The Premier League champions are open to letting the Dutchman leave for the right price this summer. Previous reports have suggested £50 million is required. And Spurs are amongst the sides keen, according to 90min.
Another defender on Antonio Conte’s radar is Clement Lenglet. Tottenham have given the Frenchman 48 hours to decide on whether he wants to join on loan. Barcelona expect the 27-year-old to agree the move, Sport reports.
One centre-back who could be offered the chance to leave North London is William Saliba. AC Milan want the Arsenal star after missing out on Sven Botman. However, the Gunners will only consider crazy offers for the youngster, Calciomercato claims.
Finally, Atletico Madrid have stepped up their bid to sign Emerson Royal. The Spurs star is their top target for the right-back spot, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
