Everton defender Morgan Feeney has completed a move away from Goodison Park on loan – and some Tranmere Rovers fans on Twitter are delighted to see him join them.
The Toffees confirm Friday morning (official website) that the 20-year-old has completed a move to League One outfit Tranmere on loan for the rest of the season.
He’s captained Everton’s Under-23s side in recent seasons, but has now departed for his first loan spell in senior football.
The centre-back has made two first-team appearances in his career for the Merseyside club, but will now get a chance to develop with regular action in England’s third-tier.
Tranmere are a side sat 21st in League One battling relegation and it could be a great learning curve for him, as he looks to push him closer to Everton’s first-team.
Feeney is a ball-playing defender that has impressed at youth level and it’s now about converting that form into men’s football.
