Tranmere fans react to completing deal for Everton defender Morgan Feeney

Everton defender Morgan Feeney has completed a move away from Goodison Park on loan – and some Tranmere Rovers fans on Twitter are delighted to see him join them.

The Toffees confirm Friday morning (official website) that the 20-year-old has completed a move to League One outfit Tranmere on loan for the rest of the season.

He’s captained Everton’s Under-23s side in recent seasons, but has now departed for his first loan spell in senior football.

The centre-back has made two first-team appearances in his career for the Merseyside club, but will now get a chance to develop with regular action in England’s third-tier.

Tranmere are a side sat 21st in League One battling relegation and it could be a great learning curve for him, as he looks to push him closer to Everton’s first-team.

Feeney is a ball-playing defender that has impressed at youth level and it’s now about converting that form into men’s football.

A selection of Tranmere supporters on social media believe that the Everton loanee could be a real success with them and are thrilled to see him arrive.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have a lot of rising stars currently away from the club on loan and they will be hoping some are ready to be integrated to the main group next summer.
