Leeds United are sweating over Pablo Hernandez’s fitness ahead of tonight’s trip to Preston North End.

Hernandez picked up an ankle injury in last weekend’s 1-0 loss against Birmingham City and was pictured with a protective boot after the game.

But there is a chance he will be fit to play a part against Preston, according to The Yorkshire Post.

Given the 33-year-old’s tally of 12 goals and 11 assists, Leeds will obviously be very keen to have their midfield playmaker available.

And while he is unlikely to start, Hernandez could play a part off the bench, which could be necessary if Leeds are chasing the game.
