Son ready for the World Cup

In the build up to the tournament, Son has posted a message on Instagram declaring that he is ready for the tournament.

He has issued a rallying cry and with every day that passes, as he gets closer and closer to full fitness, South Korean fans will get more and more excited about the tournament.

Son is a talismanic figure for his country and what a coup it would be if he could, for example, topple Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal on the biggest stage of all.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he regrets not bringing Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min to Anfield, speaking to South Korean broadcaster KBS News.

“One of the biggest mistakes in my life was not signing him (Son). Outstanding, world-class, and one of the best strikers in the world,” he said.

That underlines his quality, despite the fact he has not had the best of seasons so far for Spurs, who will be hoping he comes back from Qatar in improved form.
