Tottenham's Richarlison posts just one word on Twitter after scoring his screamer for Brazil last night

Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison scored twice for Brazil last night, including a stunning goal to beat Serbia 2-0.

The goal which opened the scoring was a classic poacher’s finish where he was in the right place at the right time to tap home.

The second was sensational, swivelling to finish so impressively into the bottom corner and seal victory in Brazil’s opening group game.

Tite’s men showed signs of the flowing football we have come to expect from any team wearing the famous yellow shirt, but did not fully convince.

But it was down to Richarlison to offer that clinical edge to get them over the line and put them top of the group after the first round of matches.

After the game, he took to Twitter to celebrate his big moment by posting a message of just one word in Portuguese.

Roughly translated, it means ‘what’s up?’ – with the Spurs man trying to play it a bit cool after scoring an absolute screamer on the world stage.

Richarlison picked up an injury with Tottenham which put his World Cup spot in jeopardy briefly, but for a while he has always looked bound to take to the pitch in Qatar.

He is Brazil’s first choice number nine ahead of Arsenal rival Gabriel Jesus, and his two goals last night justified Tite’s decision on that score.

Next up for Brazil is a clash with Switzerland on Monday afternoon, in a match which sees the two sides in the group with a win under their belt go head to head.
