Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing defender Nikola Milenkovic from Italian club Fiorentina and he looks like he could be a great fit for the Premier League.
According to the Daily Mirror, the North London club are keen on the 21-year-old enforcer and are tracking his progress.
It is understood that Spurs are beginning to prepare for life without contract rebel Toby Alderweireld, but Manchester United are also admirers of Milenkovic.
Milenkovic is one of the best upcoming centre-backs around right now and ticks a load of boxes for Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, with his composure on the ball and range of passing two of the key areas.
The no-nonsense defender also has the physical attributes that would help a transition from Serie A to the Premier League, with many comparing him to Nemanja Vidic.
He is already an important player for national side Serbia and proved that by playing every minute of the World Cup campaign in the summer.
Pochettino has proven he’s got a knack of developing young talents into superstars and Milenkovic appears to have the potential to be a top defender.
Milenkovic is already performing to a high standard in Italy with Fiorentina and he looks like an ideal signing for Spurs if they are left short in the centre-back department.
