Pierluigi Gollini had a telling reaction when asked about facing Arsenal for Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

North London derby pending

Spurs and Arsenal will compete in a game on Sunday which is billed as a friendly, but is likely to have some considerable pressure on it.

Tottenham were not convincing against Chelsea last night, while Arsenal haven’t massively impressed over pre-season so far.

The losers of the North London derby will, therefore, go into the campaign with little optimism.

And Gollini had a rather interesting response when told that he would be playing against Arsenal in just a few days.

“[Laughs]. I don’t think there is much to say. I know everything,” he said.

Good start

Gollini’s words suggest that he has quickly understood the Tottenham culture after signing this summer from Atalanta.

The Italian has only been at Spurs a few days, but if he does play – it seems that he is under no illusion over the rivalry between the two sides.

Gollini looks likely to play in Tottenham’s game at the weekend, as he impressed last night.

The Atalanta loanee made a very positive impression, as Spurs came back from 2-0 down to claim a 2-2 draw.
