Tottenham Hotspur star Erik Lamela could prove key in the club’s reported pursuit of Cengiz Under.
According to Corriere dello sport (via Football Italia), Spurs are ready to offer big money for the impressive Turkish winger; £46 million to be exact.
This after previously offering £31million to AS Roma for arguably their best young talent.

Under has played well in Serie A this season, scoring two goals and making three assists. He’s also notched two goals in the Champions League. Last season, he bagged eight in total.
He is yet to post crazy numbers, but his potential is very clear.
Tottenham clearly feel he has the potential to be special, but Arsenal are also in the running to sign him according to The Mirror.
But Spurs may have a trump card up their sleeve.
Lamela factor could land them Under
Tottenham have previously done business with Roma.

Back in 2013, Daniel Levy negotiated a deal to sign Erik Lamela from the Italian outfit for £25.7 million plus £4.2 million in bonus payments (BBC Sport).
While he struggled in his early years, Lamela has gone on to become an important player for the club.
This season he’s really picked up his form, scoring six goals in all competitions.
He’s proof that going to Spurs as a young player can work out.

Lamela joined the aged 21 and Under is the same age now.
If the player is having doubts, he need only look at Lamela’s success to perhaps give him the confidence to make the move.
