Tottenham's Emerson Royal sends a four-word message to Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal confirmed yesterday that Gabriel Jesus has undergone surgery on his knee following an injury, and Tottenham Hotspur star Emerson Royal has now sent him a message.
Jesus was a part of Brazil’s World Cup squad in Qatar. The Gunners’ number nine started his first game of the competition against Cameroon, and unfortunately for him, he picked up a very serious injury.
He’s now set for a frustrating spell on the sidelines.

A report from Goal Brazil revealed yesterday that Jesus didn’t break anything in his knee but he did suffer a meniscus and a partial collateral ligament injury.
That should keep him out of action for as long as three months, but the report reveals that his recovery depends on how well his injury will heal, which suggests that it could potentially take longer.
That is a massive blow for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta’s side are on top of the Premier League table at the moment, and Jesus’ influence is one of the biggest reasons why. That really complicates things for the Gunners.
After successfully undergoing surgery yesterday, Jesus took to Instagram and posted pictures of himself walking out of the hospital. He received a lot of love from his Brazilian pals Emerson, Raphinha, Marcelo, Miranda and also Lucas Paqueta.
The Tottenham man commented: “Get well soon mlk.” Mlk is a Portuguese word that translates to ‘kid’ or ‘boy’.
TBR View:
Premier League football does not return for 19 more days, which gives Arsenal plenty of time to think about how they’re going to play without Jesus.
Eddie Nketiah is the natural replacement up front for the Gunners, while Gabriel Martinelli can also play there when required. However, neither player is quite on Jesus’ level in the number nine role just yet.
That makes us wonder if Arsenal will dive into the transfer market in January to bring in a new striker. Arteta’s side are in a fantastic position at the top of the Premier League, and it would be silly to not capitalise on that advantage.
It will be interesting to see what happens, but the one thing that’s certain is that Jesus will be a huge miss.
