Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has praised Troy Parrott before the pair face each other tonight, The Irish Sun reports.
It is a one-match shootout between Denmark and the Republic of Ireland in Dublin tonight. The winner progresses to Euro 2020 while a draw would seal qualification for Denmark.
Eriksen is Denmark’s danger man ahead of the game and he could come face-to-face with Tottenham team-mate Parrott. The 17-year-old made his senior debut in the friendly with New Zealand last week and he is contention for this clash.
Parrott is highly-rated by Spurs and considered to be Harry Kane’s back-up option. Despite his young age, he made his debut in the EFL Cup earlier this season and now he has played for the Irish national team.
Eriksen on Parrott

Ahead of the match against Parrott’s Republic of Ireland, Eriksen was full of praise for the Spurs teen. He said (via The Irish Sun): “I hope Troy plays as it will be good fun to see him on the pitch.
“He has [shown] in training and games for Spurs that he’s capable of joining in at the highest level. For a player so young, he is a great striker who makes brilliant runs and scores with excellent finishes.
TBR’s view
From what managers and players have said about Parrott, he is destined for stardom. If he fulfils his potential, he could become a real star for the future.
Tonight’s occasion will be very special for Parrott if he gets out on the pitch. The Boys in Green need a strong home win and Parrott could seal his place in the squad with an inspired performance.
