Tottenham will head into 2021 confident of ensuring it’s a successful year as Jose Mourinho continues to build momentum in the Spurs hotseat.
Although a stuttering last few weeks has seen Spurs dip away from Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League, there is an air of optimism around the north London club with Mourinho at the helm.

2020 has been a stop-start year for everyone and Spurs, in football terms, have not been any different in all honesty.
The new year will bring with it fresh hopes and dreams for the club, manager, and supporters. But just what could Tottenham realistically hope for during 2021?
We’ve taken a look at the THREE big hopes Spurs can have for 2021, including the removal of one particularly dark cloud.
Put simply, keeping Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son
This is key if Spurs are going to enjoy any sort of success in the coming 12 months. The attacking pair are at the peak of their powers and are firmly cemented as two of the best forwards in world football.
Son, with a bit of luck, should sign a new deal in the coming weeks. Kane, while not expected to leave, is bound to be courted and with Mauricio Pochettino due to take over in Paris, there’ll be some Spurs fans worrying.
Continued investment in the team
Daniel Levy deserves an awful lot of credit for backing Mourinho like he did in the summer. In the midst of a global pandemic, Levy gave Mourinho a number of new signings and sanctioned a big money loan move for Gareth Bale.

However, Spurs cannot stand still on this front and they need to ensure they keep improving and progressing. The best teams do not rest on their laurels and Mourinho will be successful if he has the right players at his disposal.
Bring home the silverware
It’s been 12 years since Tottenham last lifted a trophy and for a club of this stature, that is simply too long.
Spurs need to start filling the cabinet and competing for silverware on a more regular basis. Mourinho, we know, is a born and natural winner and he’ll fancy himself in the Europa League this season.
Tottenham supporters are craving that success, especially with Arsenal being the current FA Cup holders. Number one spot in north London is very much up for grabs and a trophy for Spurs could well cement their spot for a good while.
