Tottenham Hotspur must be looking on with envy as Joao Cancelo nears a £52 million move to Manchester City.
The Portugal international is closing in on a switch to the Etihad Stadium according to Record, after an impressive debut season at Juventus.

The 2018 signing from Valencia has made 34 appearances for the Serie A giants in 2018/19 and has wowed with some explosive displays for the Old Lady.
Despite some solid showings he has been in competition with Mattia De Sciglio and lost out to his teammate for the bigger games.
Apparently City have ‘won’ the race for Cancelo, and Spurs must be gutted to see their former target involved in such a potentially big transfer.
TBR’s view
Spurs might have signed Cancelo for themselves in 2017.
The Daily Mail reported the north Londoners were battling Juve to secure a £25 million move for the full-back, after Kyle Walker left the club to join City.
That summer Cancelo ended up making a loan move to Inter Milan, with Juventus purchasing him last year.

Spurs could certainly do with Cancelo now, with Kieran Trippier being tipped to leave this summer, and Serge Aurier still yet to fully convince in north London.
As he prepares to compete a move to Manchester City, Tottenham could be left wondering what might have been.
