One of Tottenham Hotspur’s recent signings has revealed how he rejected signing for Pep Guardiola to instead join Ange Postecoglou’s project.

Luka Vuskovic turned down Man City for Tottenham
Luka Vuskovic has revealed that he turned down the chance to sign for Manchester City in favour of joining Tottenham.
The Lilywhites landed the 17-year-old for £12 million from Hajduk Split during the 2023 summer transfer window.
The teenager is currently on loan in the Belgian Pro League with Westerlo, he is due to move to North London this summer.

Vuskovic is impressing with his strong defensive displays and currently has six league goals to his name from centre-back.
Speaking about choosing between Man City and Spurs, Vuskovic told Nieuwsblad: “Manchester City was the first club to approach me. Shortly after, my dad told me Tottenham were also interested. When I heard the details, I was convinced.”

Vuskovic also admitted that the thought of playing alongside defenders like Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven is ‘a dream’.
The 17-year-old is confident that playing with two such experienced defenders will help him to improve which will be key as he prepares for life in the Premier League.
“What exactly is the plan now? I’ll just do what the club asks of me. Playing alongside defenders like Micky van de Ven or Romero is a dream,” Vuskovic added.
“You naturally make progress in such an environment and you have to because the Premier League is such an intense competition.”
