Tottenham are reportedly eyeing up a deal for midfield enforcer Allan from Italian giants Napoli.
According to Calcio Napoli 24, Spurs are interested in a potential £35million swoop for the Brazil international.
But it’s understood that the Serie A giants are not planning on selling their South American sensation, as he’s an ever-present in the side.
Allan would certainly be worth every penny if Spurs could convince Napoli into selling him and he would tick a lot of boxes for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The 27-year-old is a central midfielder that has already excelled in the Champions League this campaign against the likes of Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, while his team are second in the Italian top flight.
Allan is a no-nonsense powerhouse that can do the ugly work in the centre of the park, but is very comfortable on the ball too and efficient in possession.
Spurs certainly need to begin considering a replacement for Mousa Dembele in the midfield and Allan looks a natural successor, despite the fact a deal appears unlikely to happen.
The North London club are crying out for another imposing figure in the centre despite the recent impressive form of Moussa Sissoko and Allan has proven himself at a high level.
