According to a fresh report from Sky Sports, Tottenham will not be selling Harry Kane to Manchester United this summer.

It is believed that Spurs’ £200m asking price has put United off. Instead, the Old Trafford outfit are set to target the likes of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho instead.

Rumours of Kane leaving north London have been gathering pace in recent weeks. The Spurs star has admitted recently that he might have to leave to pursue trophies.

That sort of talk prompted Daniel Levy to reportedly put a £200m price-tag on Kane’s head. It’s a fee that Levy will be willing to accept but also one he knows will put off potential buyers.

His trick seems to have worked, then, when it comes to United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to bring in younger players to his squad but could see more value in Bellingham and Sancho than with Kane.

The news, of course, is good news for Spurs. The England skipper remains their talisman and is critical to any success the club wishes to have in the coming seasons.

No surprises here but don’t count United out just yet – TBR View

While it makes sense that United won’t want to splash £200m on Harry Kane, don’t count them out of things just yet.

Manchester United are still a worldwide footballing juggernaut. If they feel they can get one of the world’s top players, then, rest assured, they’ll pay the money.

Things have gradually got better for United under Solskjaer. Signing the likes of Kane, with either one of Bellingham or Sancho, could take the club to the next level.

Daniel Levy has laid out his cards on the table it seems. He just might end up regretting it depending on the next few months.
