Tottenham will try to replace £86m player at the end of the season

There’s been a lot of talk about Tottenham signings this month, but there’s still no sign of a Harry Kane replacement at Spurs.

Indeed, rather bizarrely, everyone seems to have forgotten the fact that Spurs sold their very best player this summer and they haven’t endeavoured to replace him.

Timo Werner has, of course, come in this month, but he’s apparently not Kane’s replacement.

Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has been discussing the idea of Spurs replacing Kane, and he says that Tottenham will look for a player to replace the £86m man in this summer transfer window.

Kane replacement in this summer

Jacobs shared what he knows about Tottenham’s plans.

“I don’t think we can call Werner a Kane replacement at all, because they are very different and I think that in the summer Tottenham will still be looking to, in inverted commas, replace Kane, because Kane is irreplaceable, but you’re looking for someone in that Kane type model,” Jacobs said.

Who will it be?

As exciting as this is to hear that Spurs will be looking for an elite attacker this summer, we can’t help but ponder who this could be.

As Jacobs says, Kane is irreplaceable, quite simply, there isn’t a player like him in world football, and if there was, they probably wouldn’t opt to join Tottenham.

Spurs’ best bet may be to go for a younger model and hope to turn them into the next Kane. After all, there have been plenty of links to Evan Ferguson over the past 12 months, and he is showing plenty of promise it has to be said.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on heading into this summer transfer window.
