Tottenham will need Harry Kane at his best to beat West Ham

When it comes to London derbies, Tottenham do not always have the best record up against West Ham. In recent years, the Hammers have repeatedly stunned their neighbours.

Yet the last three times that the Lilywhites have come out on top have something on common have all had something in common: a Harry Kane brace.

The centre forward has already notched six goals in 10 games to date this season but will likely need to add at least one more if Mauricio Pochettino’s men are to be victorious on Saturday.

As his third favourite opponent to score against, the England captain certainly knows what it takes to find a way past the Irons back line, having notched seven times against them, including a brace in the corresponding fixture at the London Stadium last season.

With few other attacking options available as Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen return from injury, there will certainly be a weight upon Kane’s shoulders to turn up.

In the last four games in all competitions, he has accounted for 50% of his team’s goals and will need to keep that up if they are to continue picking up points.
