Tottenham have been far from their sparkling best so far this season, but it’s worth nothing they are fourth in the Premier League and still fighting to qualify out of their difficult Champions League group.
Spurs haven’t quite been playing the scintillating attacking football that they have become renowned for under manager Mauricio Pochettino and have had to grind several results out.
It’s a good sign that the North London club are still on the main winning games and everything could be falling into place for them, as key players return from injury.
One man that has been nowhere near his best this campaign is attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has had a stop-start season due to injury.
The 26-year-old is just getting himself back into the swing of things and Spurs should be a different beast when he rediscovers his top form.
Eriksen is the heartbeat of the team when he plays well and has turned out to be a brilliant £11.5million signing (BBC) sine he joined from Ajax in 2013.
The Denmark international can score goals from the midfield area, while he’s the chief creator for his teammates with his footballing brain and range of passing.
He’s been directly involved in five goals in 13 games so far this campaign, but those numbers should shoot up when he is back to his best.
