Tottenham Hotspur have virtually no chance of recouping the £11 million they spent on signing Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.
The Frenchman is currently out on loan at AS Monaco, but has failed to establish himself at the Stade Louis II.
He is yet to start for his adoptive club, and Leonardo Jardim has left him out of his last two matchday squads (via Transfermarkt).
The stint has not gone to plan thus far, and it is yet more frustration for a player who will surely be regretting his move to England.
Since joining Tottenham in 2016 he has made just 26 appearances for the club.
He has failed to prove himself to Mauricio Pochettino, who loaned him out to Burnley last season.
£11 million down the drain
Tottenham surely have no chance of recouping the £11 million they spent to sign the winger, or even the bulk of it for that matter.
Nkoudou has played so little football over the past couple of years that no team is surely going to want to pay anywhere near his most recent fee.
Tottenham may hope for a turnaround for the player at Monaco, but it’s difficult to see where the opportunities will come from with Gelson Martins, Nacer Chadli and Rony Lopes for competition.
Having been snubbed for the past couple of weeks it’s looking like the same old story for Nkoudou, who’ll have little chance to put himself in the shop window much to the frustration of Spurs officials.
