Tottenham Hotspur are looking into signing Brentford goalkeeper David Raya as they look to find a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Lloris is still the number one and captain at Spurs but has seen a number of mistakes in the last few seasons call into question his status as a world class stopper.
Now well into his 30s, Spurs’ goal has always been to find a suitable long-term option to replace Lloris. And according to The Telegraph, the Tottenham scouting team see Brentford’s Raya as one of those options.

The Telegraph reports how Raya, along with Jordan Pickford, is admired by Spurs. The Spanish goalie has excelled with the Bees since making a bargain £3m move from Blackburn. Brentford are likely to command a fee much higher than that if they are to entertain the idea of selling.
Antonio Conte is keen to see the club back him once more in January. A new wing-back, a midfielder, and a goalkeeper are all known to be high on the Italian’s wishlist.
Raya, 27, should still have his best years ahead of him and if Tottenham can secure a top four spot, could well be tempted by the move within London.
TBR’s View: Raya a safe pair of hands for Tottenham
David Raya has been a key reason why Brentford have done so well in recent times. He does all the basics a goalkeeper needs to be doing very well, without being spectacular or risky.
He’s also excellent with his feet, a point Jurgen Klopp made about Raya after their 3-3 draw with Brentford.
In terms of Premier League goalkeepers who can be the main man for Spurs, David Raya is right up there.
Brentford won’t want to sell, but they are always open to doing deals for the right price. That in itself will encourage Tottenham.
