Tottenham have adamant stance on Yves Bissouma, amid talk of Chelsea bid

Tottenham have no intention of selling Yves Bissouma to Chelsea or anyone else, amid reports the Blues have offered Hakim Ziyech in return.

Reports from The Telegraph yesterday suggested that Chelsea had launched an audacious bid to try and sign Bissouma, who only joined the club in the summer. It’s been claimed that the Blues would be willing to let Ziyech go, if it means they can sign Bissouma.

However, a report from 90Min today has claimed that rather than be tempted to cash in on Bissouma, Spurs instead see him as a star of the future. Tottenham invested a decent amount of money into the former Brighton midfielder in the summer.

Now 26, the Mali international has yet to hit the ground running with Spurs. However, he is contract at the club for what should be his prime years. And with that, Spurs believe he will come good. Further, Bissouma is also believed to be happy at the club.

Chelsea are looking to offload a number of players if they can. They’ve splashed huge money this month, with the likes of Mudryk, Badiashile, and Noni Madueke all coming onboard.

TBR’s View: Bissouma should stick at it with Tottenham

There’s not a lot of point in Bissouma leaving Tottenham just yet. They moved a lot of pieces to get him in the summer so you’d think, over time, he’ll become a key player.

Chelsea are just looking to do as many deals as possible. Ziyech is a tempting proposition for Spurs and a player who’d make a difference. However, not at the expense of Bissouma.

Right now, Tottenham need to strengthen the squad. Sure, certain players can be put up for sale or moved on in swap deals. But not a player who cost £25m just a matter of months ago.
