Tottenham want Jules Kounde and Diego Carlos said he could play for the very best
Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla defender, Jules Kounde, with the Frenchman emerging as a top target.
Di Marzio has suggested that the Sevilla star is on the wishlist of Fabio Paratici, who is said to be close to appointing Nuno Santo as new manager.
Kounde is currently with the French squad in the Euros. He played in the final game against Portugal, and is now looking to help France to progress in the group stages.
ANTONIO CONTE WILL BE A SPURS DISASTER.
Spurs, meanwhile, are desperate to bring in some fresh talent. Paratici will be hoping to get Tottenham fans onside with some big name captures, and Kounde could fit the bill.
Well, that’s according to his Sevilla teammate and fellow defender, Diego Carlos.
What Diego Carlos said about Jules Kounde
Often players appear on the radar and there’s not a lot to go on for fans who might not be familiar. But with Kounde, we know already he’s a class act.
The Frenchman has been linked with Arsenal previously. Manchester United, too have also shown a keen interest.
And his current teammate Carlos, is in no doubt that Kounde can play for the very elite in Europe.
“Yes, he has quality and he can play for great European clubs,” Carlos said previously, as cited in the Daily Mail.
‘He is a young player who can still improve over time. He has got great qualities. He is very strong and I am sure he can play for a big club as a great defender. We have good communication on and off the pitch and we have a good relationship.”
Kounde and Carlos have formed quite the partnership in Spain. But while Carlos himself was linked with a move to England last year, it looks like Kounde will beat him to it.
Tottenham fans, then, can be delighted at what they read and see.
