Tottenham Hotspur welcome West Bromwich Albion to White Hart Lane this evening, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side look to keep the pressure on league leaders Leicester. With the Foxes pulling five points clear at the summit of the Premier League table, tonight’s hosts need a victory in order to keep their title hopes alive.
Spurs head into this clash as red-hot favourites, having won 11 of their last 18 Premier League matches at home, while recording a further five draws. However, Tony Pulis’ West Brom, who sit 14th in the league, have lost just once in their last five top flight visits to White Hart Lane (W1 D3 L1).
Coming in to this match-day, Pochettino’s side have the best attack (64 goals scored) and the best defence (25 goals conceded) in the Premier League. Meanwhile, only the already-relegated Aston Villa (25) have scored fewer goals than the Baggies (31), although the Midlands club have only conceded on 41 occasions – the 8th best defence in the league.
