‘Amazing’: Tottenham fans react as Troy Parrott enjoys debut outing against Juventus

Tottenham Hotspur defeated Cristiano Ronaldo and Co yesterday, winning 3-2 against Juventus in Singapore.

The game had looked like heading to a penalty shootout until Harry Kane scored a world-class goal from the half-way line in stoppage time.

Kane’s piece of magic proved, decisive, however, and left the large crowd inside the stadium stunned.

It was a decent performance from Mauricio Pochettino’s side. The boss handed several youngsters a chance to start, one of which was Troy Parrott.

The 17-year-old started up front alongside Heung-min Son and performed reasonably well.

Following the game, the academy striker took to Twitter to speak of his delight at his appearance for the first-team:

Parrott was a frequent goalscorer for the club’s academy ranks last season and it’ll be interesting to see what part he plays next season.

With Spurs to compete in four competitions, the pre-season tour could be a chance for him to impress the manager.

Last season he netted 20 goals in all competitions and certainly looks like being a big player for the future.
