Tottenham trio Kane, Son and Moura make you 'suffer until the end' - Brentford's Fernandez

Tottenham Hotspur trio Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura can make teams “suffer until the end”.

This is according to Brentford goalkeeper Alvaro Fernandez, whose side fell to a 2-0 defeat to Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Antonio Conte’s charges were much improved as they put the newly-promoted Bees to the sword in north London.

Spurs took the lead in the 12th minute when Sergi Canos turned Son Heung-min’s cross into his own net.

The South Korean then got himself on the scoresheet in the 65th minute to make sure of all three points.

Son started a superb counter-attack and, following good work from Harry Kane and Sergio Reguilon, struck to finish Brentford off.

Fernandez, speaking to Amazon Prime after the game, admitted that Tottenham’s pressing was hard to deal with.

“It wasn’t easy,” he said on Amazon Prime, as transcribed on BBC Sport (21:47).

“Today was good opportunity for us because if we had won we would have finished in seventh position. We have to go again on Sunday.

“Spurs pressed us so much. With Harry Kane, Son and Moura… it’s normal when you come here that you suffer until the end.”
