Tottenham told they have an absolute 'force of nature' in their ranks - not Kane or Son

Tottenham Hotspur star Ivan Perisic has been described as a “force of nature” by one of his former teammates at Inter Milan.

Alessandro Patacchini, who came through the ranks at the Serie A giants, told Football News 24 that the Spurs ace is “unquestionably the strongest player I’ve played with”.

Perisic has enjoyed a sensational career at the highest levels of the game.

The 33-year-old’s CV includes the 2019-20 Treble with Bayern Munich and the Serie A title with Inter the following year.

And for Croatia, he has contested two World Cup semi-finals and one final.

“Perisic is a seasoned pro isn’t he, he’s such a good player and can play different positions for you,” Gary Lineker recently told BBC One during their World Cup coverage.

“He’s a really good player. You don’t be around for as long as he has and have the career he has [without that],” added Alan Shearer.

Perisic and Kulusevski both wowed Patacchini

Perisic reunited with Antonio Conte at Tottenham in the summer, where he has continued to impress.

And Patacchini couldn’t help but sing the Spurs star’s praises, in conversation with Football News 24.

The 22-year-old also lauded Tottenham winger Dejan Kulusevski, deeming him one of his toughest opponents.

“Ivan Perisic is unquestionably the strongest player I have played with, a force of nature,” he said, via Sport Witness.

“Speaking of opponents instead I would mention Dejan Kulusevski of Tottenham and Moise Kean of Juventus.”

Tottenham getting Perisic on a free transfer was an absolute masterstroke from Fabio Paratici.

He may well be approaching the twilight of his career, but he’s still playing at the highest level.

There’s no reason Perisic could not continue doing so until he’s in his late 30s and beyond.

Great news for Tottenham and for Croatia.
