Report: Tottenham boosted as 'magnificent' player has made his preference about next club known

Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a move for Everton striker, Richarlison, and it seems Spurs might have a good chance of signing him.

Reports over this weekend have suggested Richarlison is firmly on Spurs’ radar as they seek to add more attacking prowess to their squad this summer. The Brazilian striker enjoyed a fine end to the season with the Toffees, helping Frank Lampard’s men avoid relegation.

However, Everton are under pressure to get their finances in order and Richarlison is one of the players who could be sold to balance the books.

And according to Goal, Tottenham could well get their way when it comes to Richarlison. Goal reports how the Brazilian has made it known to those close to him that he prefers to stay in England if he is to sign for another club. That would rule out a move to a club like Barcelona, who are known to have watched him in the past.

As reported elsewhere as well, Arsenal have also made their feelings towards Richarlison known.

Certainly, if Richarlison is to move, it would appear both Spurs and Arsenal are well-placed. It could, then, be a case of who is willing to stump up the cash.

TBR’s View: Tottenham Move Will Appeal To Richarlison

Champions League football, playing under Conte, and lining up alongside Kane and Son are big reasons as to why Richarlison might fancy this move in the end.

Tottenham are going places under Conte and while Richarlison might have to fight his way into contention, he is certainly good enough to make an impression at Spurs.

His ability to play wide and through the middle helps him, as does his desire to feature for Brazil in Qatar in the winter.

If Tottenham can get this deal done, then you’d have to give kudos to Paratici and Levy.
