Tottenham have reportedly been credited with an interest in Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo.
The Mirror reports that Spurs are keen on the Portuguese defender and it’s believed he is available to sign this summer for around £30million.
He’s a full-back that is renowned for his blistering pace and defensive qualities, which has seen him make 45 appearances across all competitions this season for Barcelona.
Semedo, 25, has looked a quality defender during his time at the Camp Nou, but Sergi Roberto provides stiff competition for a place in the side.
The right-sided flyer looks a brilliant fit for the Premier League with his pace and athleticism, something he’s shown against English opponents in the Champions League before.
Spurs could have fireworks on their hands if £30million-rated target Semedo is signed and used behind current star Lucas Moura.
The North London club would surely have one of the quickest right flanks in world football if the full-back was deployed behind the 26-year-old Brazilian winger.
Mauricio Pocehttino’s side signed Moura for £23million (BBC) back in 2018 and he’s played a major role in guiding them to a Champions League final.
He is a versatile attacker that has shown his strength as a centre-forward, but is a menace as a right-winger too and is blessed with tremendous speed.
A Semedo-Moura combination could light up the Premier League and be a real force for Spurs for years to come.
