Tottenham reportedly have an interest in Barcelona defender Nelson Semedo.
According to the Mirror, the 25-year-old could be sold by the Spanish giants this summer to raise funds and he could be available for around £30million.
The report details that Spurs have an interest in the right-back, with their current full-back options Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier struggling at times this season.
Semedo is a speed machine that has made 45 appearances across all competitions this campaign and looks the real deal.
He’s never had a taste of English football before, but Leicester City’s Ricardo Pereira may be big encouragement to suggest he could be a hit at Spurs.
Pereira has just completed his first year in England and won Leicester’s player of the season.
The 25-year-old right-back made 37 appearances for the Foxes, scoring two goals and supplying seven assists.
He’s lit up the Premier League to become one of the best right-backs in the division.
It’s worth noting that both Semedo and Pereira are Portugal internationals, competing for a spot at right-back.
But it’s the Barcelona flyer who has got the nod ahead of him this summer to be in the Nations League squad, with the Leicester ace left out altogether.
With Semedo ahead of Pereira in the pecking order, it looks like Spurs could hit the £30million jackpot with the Barcelona defender and are in for a treat if he outperforms his Leicester understudy.
