Tottenham are reportedly eyeing teenage sensation Josh Maja from League One Sunderland and it could be worth them ramping up their interest.
According to the Mirror, the centre-forward is attracting interest from the likes of Spurs, Manchester City, Southampton and Bristol City.
The report details that if Sunderland can’t tie the 19-year-old down to a new contract then £6million could be all it takes to prize him away from the Stadium of Light in January.
A seven-figure fee would be a sizeable amount for Sunderland to cash in on for the English striker, but it’s a minimal sum for Spurs and they should take a gamble on him.
Maja has been in sensational form this season, scoring 11 goals in 20 games across all competitions.

He broke into the Black Cats side last season with plenty of cameo roles, but is enjoying his first full campaign as the first-choice attacker at senior level.
Maja is a raw talent with great pace and right now an excellent touch in front of goal, but may not be ready now to provide an extra striker option at Spurs.
But Mauricio Pochettino is the master at developing young English talents as proven by his track record and a £6million fee for someone with such great potential may be too big to miss out on.
