Reported Tottenham target, Ivan Rakitic, has insisted he is happy in Spain amid talk of a potential move away from Barcelona this summer.
The Croatian midfielder has been a mainstay of the La Liga giants’ midfield for a number of seasons now. However, he has fallen down the pecking order somewhat in the last 12 months, leading to reports that Barca wants to sell.

Spurs have been linked with a move for Rakitic by Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo.
However, speaking to Sky Germany yesterday, Rakitic insisted that he is happy in Barcelona and appeared to hint he would run his contract down.
“I’ve got used to it [the speculation] a bit. I’ve been here six years now – so I’ve had six years of this sort of thing,” Rakitic said. (Quotes via the Evening Standard)
“I’ve still got a contract. When I sign a contract, I always intend to fulfil it, and if that cannot happen for any reason, then we’ll sit down together and talk about it.
“But for the moment, I am very happy here and I am thinking about other stuff.”
Those comments from Rakitic would appear to be a massive blow for Spurs, who were hoping to land the midfielder this summer.

The Premier League club face competition, though. Indeed, Spanish outlet, Sport, claims that Sevilla is the only place Rakitic wants to move to.
This one looks a tough move for Spurs to pull off – TBR View
While Ivan Rakitic is a fine player and would improve Spurs immensely, it does seem that a deal looks tricky to complete.
The Croatian is, as he says, happy in Spain. At 32, does he really need to be moving to England? It’s not like he has anything to prove given his success with both Barca and Croatia.
It would be a shame not to see Rakitic in England given his quality. But it looks like Spurs need a bit of a miracle if they do want to land him.
