Tottenham talent Troy Parrott is currently out on loan with MK Dons and last night he scored in the EFL Cup. The 19-year-old will spend the entire season with the League One outfit, with Spurs monitoring his progress.
It really is a case of so far, so good for Parrott. His goal against Aston Villa under-23s was his fourth of the campaign, whilst he’s also made four goals for his teammates.
The man capped nine times by the Republic of Ireland has started 11 of the team’s 13 league games and is clearly thriving amid regular first-team football.

Last night proved a disappointing night for MK Dons. A relatively strong side couldn’t stop an academy outfit from running riot and that won’t have gone down well with boss Liam Manning.
After last night’s game, the youngster earned plaudits from the local press. The MK Citizen awarded him a 7/10 in their player ratings piece, claiming: “Flashed brilliance at times. Took his goal excellently well and hit the bar with a free-kick later on before being replaced.”
Future star: Parrott on the right track towards Tottenham chance
All the teenager can continue to do is play well and score goals. Spurs aren’t blessed with an abundance of strikers and that can only bode well for Parrott in the future.
Nuno Espirito Santo failed to land a striker in backup to Harry Kane during the summer and if that remains the case next summer, Parrott could find himself earning a shot.

The ball is pretty much in the Irishman’s court. He will hope to continue taking his chances at MK Dons and then trust the process with regards to a chance at Tottenham.
The youngster has played four times for the senior ranks at Spurs. As a result, he’s had a taste of what is to come and he’ll hope to add to that tally in the future.
