Tottenham are said to be sweating on the fitness of Gareth Bale after the Welshman picked up an injury during yesterday’s 1-0 win at West Brom.
Bale was given his first Premier League start of the season by Jose Mourinho but he didn’t finish the full 90 minutes at the Hawthorns, making way for Lucas Moura with around 15 minutes to go.

The winger was then pictured with an ice pack in the stands, further highlighting that there could be an issue.
And Football.London claim that Spurs have allowed Bale to leave camp to join up with Wales, but they are still waiting to find out the severity of the knock picked up by the Real Madrid loanee.
Any sort of injury ruling him out would be a bitter blow for Spurs and Jose Mourinho. Bale himself would also be disappointed, having put in the hard work to get up to speed now he’s back in the Premier League.

Tottenham fans will, then, be watching with a keen eye as Wales are set to play three games in two weeks.

If Bale is ruled out for any considerable period then it would be a massive shame to see. He’s just started getting into gear back in a Spurs shirt so if he’s ruled out then it will be a blow.
However, an ice pack is a pretty normal precaution in football. Wales, too, will probably rest him for their first game, according to the Football.London report.
With a bit of luck, Bale will return healthy and raring to go in what will be a busy Christmas fixture period.
