Tottenham supporters want to see Rodon and Romero together

Tottenham fans call for Rodon and Romero partnership.

The Lilywhites have watched the likes of Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier partner with Cristian Romero.

However, they now want to see Joe Rodon partnered with their summer signing.

The pair are both aggressive ball-winners who have age on their side.

Both of them are 23-years-old and have bags of talent and potential.

So far, it’s been made clear that Romero is the best defender at the club.

His big money move from Atalanta looks to be a fantastic swoop from the club, but they need to find him a partner.

Dier and Sanchez, as previously stated, have tried.

However, both of them are too partial to making a mistake.

They’ve both cost Tottenham goals during their time at the club and now the supporters want to see Rodon chanced.

The former Swansea man has been limited to Europa Conference League games so far this season.

His only appearance in the Premier League came off the bench to replace an injured Dier vs Crystal Palace.

Now, though, many fans are desperate to see him given a chance at the heart of their defence.

The Lilywhites face Newcastle next up in the Premier League.

That game could provide Rodon and Romero a chance to nail down a partnership.

With a ball-winner like Oliver Skipp playing ahead of them in midfield, there’s a solid base for Tottenham to build on.

At full-back they have some talented attacking outlets in Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal.

With Rodon and Romero in between them, this Tottenham side could start to show some defensive solidity once again.

However, Nuno has left Rodon on the bench for the last three Premier League games, something the fans will want to see change.

What do the fans think?
