Tottenham have made an offer of £300,000 for Leyton Orient defender Dan Happe, according to a report by the Sun.
They report that it has been turned away by the newly-promoted O’s, and Spurs face competition from Norwich City, Leeds United and Leicester City for his signature.
Happe had something of a breakthrough season at Orient last season in the Conference, but has just the one year left on his contract.
That means that Orient are apparently resigned to losing him, but are holding out for more than £300k – which should be achievable with four clubs in the chase.

Tottenham may have polished up a lower league gem in Dele Alli, but Happe’s previous experience is two divisions lower than the England man’s was when he joined.
And that means that there’s not a great deal of enthusiasm from the Tottenham fans about the deal – even though it could prove to be a fairly low-risk, cheap punt on a promising English player.
They appear to want someone more established and experienced, and seem roundly unimpressed by the swoop…
