Bournemouth are reportedly closing in on a move to sign Tottenham Hotspur outcast Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer in a move that would finally see the United States international leave on a permanent basis – and Spurs fans have reacted.

Breaking into the Tottenham side under Mauricio Pochettino, 22-year-old Carter-Vickers has gone on loan to five different Football League clubs. Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City and Luton have all had him on loan.

Now, the United States international has returned to north London to a different manager and is in the final 12 months of his Spurs contract. The rise of Japhet Tanganga, and moving Eric Dier to defence is likely to see him fall down the pecking order.

With three weeks remaining in the transfer window, TeamTalk have claimed that Carter-Vickers is closing in on a move back to the Championship – this time with Bournemouth, who will be looking to gain an instant return to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Spurs have been linked with some of Bournemouth’s players – most notably David Brooks. Josh King is expected to return to the Premier League before the end of the summer window, while notable others could do so, too.

Spurs fans reacted to the reported news that Carter-Vickers could be about to leave Spurs on a permanent basis in the coming weeks, and many are desperate to see their club land Brooks, King or even left-back Diego Rico in a player-plus-cash deal.
