Celtic have reportedly seen a loan offer to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott turned down by the Irish teenager himself – and both Tottenham supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news.
Parrott, 18, is regarded as one of the Premier League’s best up-and-coming strikers given his form for Spurs’ Under-18 and reserve sides. He has already earned a senior Ireland cap, after scoring four in four for the Under-21 team.
Last season, Parrott broke into the senior Spurs team – making four appearances. He even started for Spurs against Colchester United in the Carabao Cup, while making substitute outings under Jose Mourinho.

Instead of remaining at Spurs for the 2020-21 campaign, Parrott has opted to go on loan and the Irish Independent claimed numerous clubs made offers. Swansea, Bournemouth, Preston, Stoke and Celtic all made offers.
But the report states that Parrott has chosen to join Millwall after talks with Lions boss Gary Rowett. It sees Parrott remain in London, and follow in the footsteps of Harry Kane – who scored nine goals in 27 on loan at Millwall.
Tottenham fans reacted to the reported news that Parrott has chose to turn down Celtic in favour of a move to English Championship side Millwall.
