Tottenham supporters react as Harry Redknapp suggests another Real Madrid player

Harry Redknapp has urged Tottenham Hotspur to raid Real Madrid for a third player amid reports that they are about to sign Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon, and complete a move to bring Luka Modric back – and Spurs fans have responded.

Sky Sports claim that Bale and Reguilon are currently on their way to London after passing medicals in Spain ahead of proposed moves to Tottenham. Bale is expected to join on a one-season loan deal, with the option of a second year.

Meanwhile, Reguilon is expected to sign a permanent five-year contract though a deal may include a buyback clause that could allow Reak to lure him back to the Santiago Bernabeu. But Redknapp does not think Spurs should stop there.

He believes Daniel Levy should raid Real Madrid for a third time and bring Modric back to Spurs – eight years after he moved to the Galacticos. Modric has entered the final year of his contract at Real, and Redknapp thinks Spurs should take advantage.

Speaking on Stats Perform News – as per The Mail – Redknapp said: “I’d go and see if I could get Luka Modric back. Take the pair of them, Bale and Modric. That would be a great coup. Luka is still a fantastic player. That would be amazing.

“I still feel they need somebody there; they’ve got the forward players, but they need somebody to supply the bullets. That’s where someone like Luka Modric can play killer passes, into great movement up front. They lack a player like that.”

Spurs are expected to be in the market even after confirming deals for Bale and Reguilon. A striker, as cover for Harry Kane, is still required while a replacement for Jan Vertonghen may also have to be considered by Levy in the coming weeks.

Tottenham supporters have responded on Twitter to their former manager’s comments about Modric, who earns £180,000 a week as per the Express. Many want the Croatian to rejoin Spurs – eight years after his exit.
