Tottenham supporters react as club reportedly eyeing swap deal for Danish star

Christian Eriksen could reportedly return to Tottenham Hotspur in the January window with Spurs pursuing a potential return for the Denmark international, in a potential swap deal – and Spurs fans have reacted to the latest report.

Eriksen, 28, left Tottenham in January on bad terms after refusing to sign a new contract with the north London club. He clocked up an enormous 305 appearances in all competitions, having a hand in 158 goals during his Spurs spell.

However, since his move to Inter Milan – Eriksen has struggled. He has played 33 times in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s side – but has managed to score just four goals, laying on only three more in assists.

Now, CalcioMercato have claimed Tottenham considered luring him back in the summer – and could try the same in January. Indeed, Spurs could try to boost their chances of landing Eriksen, by including two players in a swap deal as per the report.

Indeed, Danny Rose – who is out of contract at Spurs next summer and has been excluded from the club’s Premier League squad – could be included in a deal for Eriksen. Dele Alli, who remains on the fringes, could also be used to sign Eriksen.

Tottenham supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that both Alli and Rose could be used in a swap to bring Eriksen back to Spurs – and it appears many are all for the return of the £17million (Goal) star.
