Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign Real Madrid flyer Lucas Vazquez this summer with Leeds United and Everton also being linked – and Spurs fans have discussed a potential move for the Spain international.
Vazquez, 29, is available on a free transfer this summer. Despite remaining a crucial part of Zinedine Zidane’s side this season after being converted into a right-back, playing 26 times in all competitions, Vazquez’s future is still up in the air.
The Daily Star (28/02, p45) have claimed that Real Madrid have offered Vazquez a new deal to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, but after 232 appearances for the Galacticos – he is set to leave. The report claims Tottenham are considering a move for Vazquez.
However, they might not be the only Premier League club interested in the nine-time Spain star. Indeed, Spanish outlet Cuatro claimed in February that Leeds and Everton are keen – with the Whites ready to offer Vazquez a pay rise, to £83,000 a week.
Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club could look to bring Vazquez to North London in a move that would see them sign a third player from Real Madrid in two years – after Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon.
