Tottenham may have just received a small boost regarding their striker Harry Kane, as there is no chance he will need to be rushed back from injury for international duty this summer.
The England captain is an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s side and was expected to go to Euro 2020, despite the fact he’s not played since New Year’s Day due to a hamstring problem.
But UEFA have postponed Euro 2020 until the summer of 2021 to allow European league times to complete their seasons amid the coronavirus outbreak halting play (confirmed by the Norwegian FA on Twitter).
With all football currently at a standstill, it gives Kane the perfect opportunity to rest and he can avoid being thrown back into action too quickly.
Spurs manager Jose Mourinho previously claimed that the centre-forward may not be available until the penultimate game of the Premier League season, but it’s unclear right now on when that will actually be.

Kane, who earns £200,000-a-week (Spotrac), has had a number of injury problems creep into his career during the past few seasons.
It’s vital that the goal machine is given a full period of recovery before making a comeback and not having the pressure of a major competition with England just around the corner should help.
Kane has 17 goals in 25 games across all competitions this season and when he’s fit there aren’t many better strikers in world football.
