Tottenham ace Harry Kane has applauded Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith-Rowe after he scored on his first England start, against San Marino.
Smith-Rowe, 21, was called-up to England’s side by Gareth Southgate after four had pulled out from this month’s international break.
He has since won two caps – a sub against Albania and starting on Monday at San Marino. He scored one, and created another against San Marino.
Smith-Rowe swept home England’s seventh goal, after creating one of Kane’s four goals – which took him to 48, level with Gary Lineker.
Above Kane sits Sir Bobby Charlton on 49, and Wayne Rooney on 53. Speaking after the match, Kane raved about Arsenal ace Smith-Rowe.

“He’s had a fantastic season so far, great from him to play and get the goal today, he’s got the quality,” Kane told reporters, as per The Metro.
“The quality is there for sure. He just needs to keep working hard, keep his head down and I’m sure he’s got a great future.”
Kane on Smith-Rowe: Arsenal star earning plaudits from Tottenham
Smith-Rowe’s form is electric. Six goal involvements in six Premier League games for Arsenal is coming just at the right time, for England.
Indeed, England have numerous options at no.10 but of all of them, you would have to say Smith-Rowe is the one that is most in form.
Phil Foden is best on the left, Jack Grealish too. Jesse Lingard is lacking in game time, Dele Alli is out of form, Mason Mount can be used as an eight.
Smith-Rowe really has a chance of breaking into the England side as a Paul Gascoigne-esque no.10. The 2022 World Cup is not far away.
