Tottenham star Sergio Reguilon has told The Standard what PSG right-back Achraf Hakimi has told him about new Spurs gaffer Antonio Conte.
Conte has made a solid start to life as Tottenham manager. Picking up a crucial win over Vitesse, he then oversaw a clean sheet at Goodison Park.
Now, he has the international break to work with the Tottenham players not on international duty – the likes of Dele Alli, Eric Dier and more.
Spain international Sergio Reguilon has also remained in North London after being overlooked by his country’s manager Luis Enrique this break.
He spoke to The Standard about working under Conte for the last few days. Reguilon shares what Hakimi has told him about the Italian.
Of course, PSG summer signing Hakimi played under Conte at Inter Milan – and alongside Reguilon during the duo’s time at Real Madrid.

“I have a friend at Inter, Achraf Hakimi who I spoke to about the gaffer,” Reguilon said. “He told me I will improve a lot under him.
“I want to do that as soon as possible. He said I will have to work really, really hard but I will improve a lot. In one week, I can already see that.”
Reguilon on Conte: Hakimi verdict will be exciting for Tottenham fans
But it is also exactly what some Tottenham players needed. A wake-up call, a fresh start – but also a boss that is going to work them into the ground.
Much has already been made about Conte’s staff, and how they are pushing the players in training in order to improve the fitness of the Spurs squad.
Conte will want his sides to press, and to do that, they will have to rediscover fitness levels last experienced under Mauricio Pochettino.
But the verdict from £61million (Goal) PSG signing is exciting. Spurs fans will be hoping that Conte can get the best out of some of his struggling stars.
Dele, being one – who has also remained at Spurs, given his lack of form preventing him from an England recall. It could be just what Dele needs.
