Tottenham star Lucas Moura has named Liverpool’s Alisson Becker as the toughest goalkeeper he’s had to face.
Moura, who cost Spurs £23million (BBC), is a Spurs attacker that has played against some of the world’s elite shot-stoppers and he’s picked out Brazilian compatriot as the toughest.
Alisson, 28, has helped transform Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool since he joined from Roma, winning a Champions League and Premier League during his first two years with the club.
The South American is viewed by many as the Premier League’s best goalkeeper alongside Manchester City’s Ederson, with the duo in direct competition for the Brazil number one position.
He’s brought such a calmness to the Liverpool backline that was non-existent before, as he pulls off saves in big moments and is such an assured presence behind the defence.
“The hardest goalkeeper? It is not because he’s Brazilian, but Alisson is very good. It is very difficult to score against him,” 28-year-old Moura said, as quoted by Spurs TV.

TBR’s View:
Liverpool were a side that were so close yet so far during the early stages of Klopp’s reign, but the signings of Alisson and centre-back colossus Virgil van Dijk changed everything for them.
Alisson has only had a short time in English football, but already some people have put him in the conversation for one of the best goalkeepers to play in the Premier League and it would be hard to argue that if he continues in the same vein for the next few years.
There is a notable difference when he’s absent and Adrian steps in, which is why it’s crucial they keep him fit for the rest of the season.
