Alasdair Gold has compared Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur to Spurs cult hero Dimitar Berbatov.
The football.london correspondent was talking on his YouTube channel about the “calmness” Bentancur brings to the Tottenham midfield.
Spurs signed the Uruguay international in the January transfer window, bringing him from Juventus alongside Dejan Kulusevski.

Both players have hit the ground running at Tottenham and have brought so much to the team.
Bentancur missed Spurs’ recent matches against Leeds and Middlebrough after picking up an ankle injury at Burnley.
He returned for the Everton game last time out, and Antonio Conte named him in the starting XI.
The 24-year-old delivered a superb performance in tandem with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as Spurs ran out 5-0 winners.
Gold loved what he saw from Bentancur and, though he warned the player might be “too laid-back” at times, he’s confident he’ll learn as the season goes on.
“Rodrigo Bentancur, again bang, straight into that midfield,” said Gold.
“And just so calm, he’s got a bit of a Berbatov way about him, he’s very laid back. Too laid back at times for a midfielder.
“Striker you can maybe get away with but for a midfielder there are occasions where he might bring the ball out of defense and play a very… laid-back pass which gets cut out.
“Some people in Italy (were) criticising that, it was something that he would get cut out maybe once or twice a match for.
“That’s something he’s going to probably going to learn quite quickly, in the Premier League it’s even faster and you can’t get away with that too much.
“But on the whole I think he does exude this calmness that he brings to the midfield.”
