Christian Eriksen has posted a picture of himself on Instagram wearing his new side’s Inter Milan shirt after his exit from Tottenham was confirmed – and Spurs star Kyle Walker-Peters and ex-Tottenham man Vlad Chiriches have commented.
Eriksen, 27, joined Inter for a reported £17million after entering the final six months of his contract at Spurs. He joins Ashley Young and Victor Moses in joining Antonio Conte’s side this month, with the club already boasting Romelu Lukaku.
Since his exit, Spurs have confirmed a permanent deal for Giovani Lo Celso and also signed Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven for a combined £54million. It has certainly softened the blow of losing such a staple of the Spurs side in Eriksen.
Reports claim Eriksen could be in the Inter side to take on Fiorentina on Wednesday evening, and he has posted a picture of himself wearing the number 24 shirt in the black and blue of the Nerrazzurri on Instagram.
Spurs, meanwhile, will have to do without Eriksen as they play host to Manchester City on Sunday. They do have a few more days off than City, with Pep Guardiola’s side taking on Manchester United in the second leg of the Carabao Cup.
Reacting to Eriksen’s latest Instagram post, Wwalker-Peters described Eriksen as a “maestro” as the full-back reportedly closes in on a move to Southampton – while former Spurs man Vlad Chiriches also commented, saying “welcome to Italy.”
