In the midst of the January transfer window, a lot of change is expected for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur side.
As well as the arrival of a central defender, a midfielder and a forward are also expected to arrive in North London to help Postecoglou’s progress.

Tottenham have now recovered their league position after a strong string of performances, something made more impressive by those missing.
Micky van de Ven and James Maddison have been heavily missed, two players who were immediately crucial to Postecoglou’s project.
And with Cristian Romero also enduring multiple spells of unavailability, owing to suspension and then injury, Spurs’ back line has been unrecognisable at times.
Moreover, with Romero now considered a leader at the club, Tottenham have also missed a key personality.
And to that point, The Athletic have now been detailing Romero’s change at Tottenham this season from the perspective of Postecoglou’s coaching staff.
The report says that Romero has undergone a transformation since being handed the vice-captaincy, a change that was almost instant.
Although he’s always exuded confidence and authority on the pitch, it was now time for him to become a senior figure.
And to their delight, staff now believe Romero has become much more mature and responsible since being handed the role.
Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham staff think Cristian Romero has made a huge change
Of course, some fans may be wondering why that change hasn’t quite paid dividends in some of his on-field decision making.
It raised a lot of eyebrows when Romero proceeded to push the boundaries with his tackles and aggression soon after returning from his suspension recently.

Moreover, some considered Romero incredibly lucky not to immediately face another ban for some of his actions.
And with the £42m defender so crucial to the change Postecoglou is trying to instil at Tottenham this season, that will need to change.
Of course, at 25-years-old, Romero could still enjoy a great deal of growth in his performances and his composure.
The Argentinian is now expected to return in February after his recent hamstring issue, and will be a huge boost to Spurs’ prospects.
And it’ll certainly be interesting to see if he has a new £26m teammate when he does return to the pitch.
