Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on a deal for PSV Eindhoven star Steven Bergwijn.
According to FOX Sports, the north Londoners are ready to make the Netherlands international their second January signing after Gedson Fernandes.
ESPN also bring a report saying the 22-year-old has agreed to join Jose Mourinho’s side.

Ominously, Bergwijn was left out of PSV’s matchday squad at the weekend, suggesting that it is now a question when and not if.
Bergwijn is a versatile player who can operate on either flank or as a central striker, which is ideal for Spurs given the injury to Harry Kane.
Bergwijn has a lot of promise and he would bolster Tottenham’s attack, but one man who may not be too pleased about the situation is Lucas Moura.
TBR’s view – Moura biggest loser
The Brazilian forward has been a regular under Mourinho since he placed Mauricio Pochettino, but Bergwijn signing could see him back on the bench.

Bergwijn plays in the exact same positions as £80,000-a-week star Moura (Spotrac) and would be a direct threat to him.
In terms of this season in the league, Bergwijn (via WhoScored) has more shots per 90 (2.3), key passes per 90 (2.8) and dribbles per 90 (2.5) than Moura (1.6, 1, 1.6), and he’s also made 10 assists to Moura’s one.
Right now he’s in fine form, and a transfer will likely bring an end to Moura’s regular opportunities under Mourinho.
