Report: Tottenham have shown most willing so far to sign 'really special' £65m man this summer
Tottenham have apparently shown the most willing of all the clubs currently monitoring Everton striker, Richarlison, according to The Athletic.
Both Richarlison and fellow forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin are facing uncertain futures this summer. The Athletic details what the future might hold for both strikers, with a number of clubs said to be sniffing round the pair.
However, when it comes to Richarlison on his own, it’s reported how – so far anyway – it is Tottenham who have shown the most interest in signing the Brazilian star. Everton are believed to want anything up to £65m to consider selling Richarlison, who they signed from Watford for around £40m a few seasons back.
Why Footballers Keep Running Down Their Contracts
So far, Spurs have yet to add to their attacking options this summer, albeit Ivan Perisic can be deployed as a winger or wide forward if needed by Conte. But the club are expected to add another name to the ranks to take the load off of Kane and Son.
Richarlison could be that man, with Spurs continuing to monitor his situation. The Athletic reports how both PSG and Real Madrid have watched him as well, while Arsenal are also known to have shown an interest.
TBR’s View: Tottenham And Richarlison Getting More Likely?
It’s certainly seeming like more than just a rumour this one. If The Athletic are consistently mentioning Richarlison and Tottenham together then you have to feel something might happen.
The Brazilian – dubbed as ‘really special‘ previously would be a big signing for Spurs. He’d face a bit of a battle to get into the XI right away but there is no doubting his quality. He has shown it at Everton, in more than one position as well.
You do get the feeling a big signing is coming for Tottenham, for big money. And if it is Richarlison, then few will grumble at Hotspur Way.
